Dr Marigold Hayes is a Consultant Clinical Psychologist who has worked in the NHS since 2001. She has experience across the breadth of Adult Mental Health Services from Primary Care and Recovery Teams to Crisis settings. She currently leads adult secondary care psychology services in an Inner London Borough.

 

In her private practice Dr Hayes is able to offer short, medium and longer-term individual psychological therapy to adults and young people (aged 18+) both face-to-face and online. She works with many common mental health difficulties including stress, anxiety, ocd, intrusive thoughts, depression, low self-esteem, managing during times of uncertainty and adjustment to adverse life events. She is  also able to assist with more enduring difficulties relating to the impact of early life trauma, severe mood fluctuations, psychotic experiences and interpersonal struggles. Dr Hayes is also able to provide supervision and consultation services.

Her main approach is Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, both traditional and third wave (including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Mindfulness). The nature of her training is such that she is versed in a number of therapeutic models, and she has an interest in Psychodynamic ideas, which have influenced her therapeutic style.

 

Dr Hayes provides evidence based interventions in a confidential setting to ensure clients receive the best possible outcome. She is aware of the need for flexibility and creativity within the work to ensure therapy is meaningful to her clients. She believes that one of the most effective ways to help others is through empowering them to feel more able to manage their difficulties, improve self-confidence and self-agency.

She currently holds HCPC registration and is a BPS registered Chartered Psychologist. She also holds full BABCP accreditation. She complies with UK GDPR standards in the processing of data.

Her consulting room is a short walk from Barnes and Barnes Bridge stations, and a stones throw from Barnes High Street in SW 13, which is served by public bus routes. Parking is available on site.
