Dr Marigold Hayes
Dr Hayes read her degree in Psychology (Bsc) at Goldsmiths College, University of London, graduating with honors. She then attended the Doctorate in Clinical Psychology training programme at Royal Holloway, University of London, completing this in 2005.

Dr Hayes has 23 years experience of working in the NHS across the breadth of Adult Mental Health Services, from working with people with common mental health conditions such as anxiety and depression, through to work in more specialist settings supporting people experiencing more complex and enduring difficulties. In recent years she has developed a special interest in working with those struggling with intrusive thoughts and OCD. She is currently the Head of Psychology for an Inner London Borough, overseeing the provision of NHS Secondary Care Psychology Services for people with complex mental health conditions. As well as providing individual therapy, Dr Hayes has great enthusiasm for group work, and has run a number of self-management groups within her NHS work. She is also passionate about her work with teams and other healthcare professionals, providing individual and group supervision and consultation.

Dr Hayes supports the University College London Clinical Psychology training programme as an Honorary Teaching Fellow, facilitating clinical seminars for trainees. She also provides placements and supervision to trainee clinical psychologists from the North Thames doctoral training programmes (UCL, Royal Holloway, UeL).

To continue to develop her skills she has attended many workshops and courses to enhance her practice, including CBT workshops relating to most common mental health difficulties, alongside more specialist approaches such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Mindfulness. She has also attended an introductory course in psychodynamic concepts at the British Association on Psychotherapists (now known as the British Psychoanalytic Association).

She has experience providing talks and workshops on a range of mental health topics to organisations such as the National Theatre, The National Portrait Gallery, The V & A and The Natural History Museum through C & I Wellbeing, a private wellbeing service run by NHS psychologists and psychological therapists.
